The Team Deloitte’s Marketing Excellence team combines the power of Deloitte’s brand with the most inspired marketing techniques to produce business results for our clients. As a leader of the team, you will: Develop marketing strategies, messaging, and positioning for the Consumer industry with a focus on driving growth for sectors and client teams Provide competitive and marketplace insights to Consumer industry leadership to help identify white-space opportunities that increase account activation Participate in the Consumer Industry Council, providing input into the shaping and formulation of the industry strategy in collaboration with the National Industry Leader, the National Sector Leaders, and the Business-aligned Consumer Industry Leaders Create and deliver executive-level presentation materials for senior leadership that convey impact, surface challenges, and gain consensus on the opportunities ahead Lead operation, budget, and talent processes for the Consumer Marketing Excellence team Mentor and develop team members, virtually Import successful ideas and techniques from other sectors and business offerings and implement across the team to help drive impact Collaborate with various stakeholders and teams across the firm including the Industry Marketing Leaders, Consumer Industry Center, Sales Excellence, Global, the businesses, and enabling areas Collaborate with Public Relations team to drive media coverage Contribute to the broader Deloitte Marketing Excellence vision by playing an integral role in strategic initiatives and committees Drive the Marketing planning process, including discussions with leadership around business priorities Provide strategic approach for our owned digital channels including d.com, twitter and our internal intranet site (KX) to ensure consistency and brand cohesion Skills and Competencies: Deep understanding of the Consumer industry and the priority issues facing its companies High level of comfort with ambiguity and fluid priorities; ability to manage multiple, complex priorities-must be both flexible and adaptable Strategic and innovative thinker Ability to make connections in a highly matrixed environment with an eye towards integration and collaboration Executive presence, professional client service manner, demonstrated ability to take initiative Strong persuasive communication skills; able to gain consensus through influence and pivot when warranted Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills; flexibility and adaptability Previous experience in B2B marketing; professional services experience is strongly preferred Ability to work in a virtual environment though some level of travel is expected following the pandemic Qualifications: Required: 15+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on marketing strategy with an eye towards down-funnel activities Deep understanding of marketing strategy with an ability to execute tactically Deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategies and how they come together to provide measurable results Previous experience leading and developing a team of both direct and indirect reports Superior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in Marketing Travel up to 10% is required for this role.
