Additional Department Summary:  The Strategic Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans into the daily operation of the athletics marketing department. The responsibilities include: generation of revenue through the creation and administration of marketing plans to sell tickets; enhanced fan engagement within fan development opportunities; increasing awareness of pertinent athletics information: overseeing the creation of needed content for targeted channels: and improving fan development strategies. Under the supervision of the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Fan Development this position will be an active part of the department’s strategic initiatives. Required Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Public Relations, Sports Management and some experience; OR Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Public Relations, Sports Management. Skills and Knowledge:  Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and other related software. Preferred Qualifications:  Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Public relations, Sports Management or related field preferred. Experience working within an intercollegiate athletics department and/or licensing industry organization in a licensing, marketing and/or communications role.
