The Department of Lab Medicine and Pathology is looking for a highly proactive, independent, creative, and self-motivated Sourcing Marketing Specialist to grow and develop Talent Operations for department positions to include but not limited to Leadership, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Information Technology, Bioinformatics, Software Engineer and Research Scientist staff.  This position will report directly to DLMP Associate Director of HR, however will work closely with laboratory leadership and hiring managers as well as other departmental and organizational HR business units.  The Recruitment Marketing Specialist will also be an integral role in the hiring and retention of these top-level leadership, clinical, research, technical, and IT talent needed to run and grow our laboratory.  The Sourcing Marketing Specialist will use the tools they develop, design, and implement as a key partner of the recruitment team responsible for pursuing, evaluating and recommending for hire a steady stream of qualified candidates for key positions.  This position will help develop, create, maintain, manage and update the recruitment pipeline process by networking with other organizations, professional membership groups, searching and scrubbing on social media or other related platforms like Linkedin, attending conferences, career fairs, etc.  This position through the pipeline will gather applicants, perform initial screens, and coordinate the hiring process. This position will also focus on improving systems and processes, analyzing data and holistically identifying business needs; In turn, this position will have broad latitude to implement new tools, create new employment programs and avenues for the laboratory, and develop our talent operations program as a whole. This position will write and design communications and promotional materials, and manage critical recruitment positions for DLMP. This position will work towards diversity, equity and inclusion goals within and for recruitment and marketing efforts and will be expected to know and contribute to the strategic goals of the department. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Recruitment (35%): •Manage recruiting-related activities for our roles, including generating leads, reviewing and screening applications, setting up initial interviews, writing offer letters, and coordinating onboarding. •Develop new pipelines for recruiting candidates, via engagement of external recruitment agencies, recruitment events, specialty-specific job boards, professional organizations, social media, cold calling, etc. •Creatively identify non-traditional means of candidate recruitment. •Develop and strengthen relationships and pipelines including cultivating relationships with healthcare organizations to develop opportunities for information sessions and possible pipelines and building relationships with. •Implement process for pursuing inquirers and prospective candidates, and maintain the processes of responding to inquiries and tracking data; analyze inquiry data to inform strategic planning for recruitment. •Respond to inquiries from prospective applicants, enter and track data, and report on conversions. •Conduct one-on-one and group information sessions, both in-person and via webinar. •Improve the candidate experience during the interview process. •Build a structured interview process for key roles. •Plan individual visits for prospective candidates and larger-scale recruitment events locally, regionally or nationally. •Work closely with faculty and managers and with other UW HR recruitment team to optimize and coordinate recruitment activities. •Manage major recruiting events; includes program development, interview process and content, event logistics, and engagement. •Develop and manage a system for tracking effectiveness of recruitment activities. Recruitment Marketing (40%): •Draft and send communications soliciting applications for key recruitment roles •Collaborating with leadership and the operations director, develop and implement marketing and promotional activities for recruitment and pipeline networks. •Represent department at public events, career fairs, recruiting events, conferences, etc. •Manage partnerships with outside organizations and ensure membership benefits are optimized (AABB, ASCP, etc.). •Identify and implement ways to improve visibility of opportunities in the department, and utilize domain-specific methods of engaging candidates where possible (e.g., through websites, advertisements, job boards, etc.) •Write and edit content for recruitment on department website. •Conceptualize, create and update promotional materials for displays, flyers, phone scripts, swag, etc. and update annually as needed. •Develop social media strategy and manage social media outlets. •Meet proactively with leadership to understand recruitment needs. •Build relationships and act as liaison with professional health care associations and organizations locally, regionally and nationally, as well as with other relevant resources. •Precisely convey our unique corporate culture to candidates and asses their fitness for that framework. Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) (15%): •Engage with departmental and organizational DEI efforts and identify how these can be implemented for our positions. •Establish and publish key metrics of DEI within our department and divisions. •Partner with leadership to make the DLMP an equitable and diversity-first organization, with special focus on our critical roles. Other (10%): •Develop and utilize a database of applicants for future review and targeted opportunities. •Establish and use data analytics to identify recruitment bottlenecks as well as future needs and provide regular updates and dashboards of key hiring metrics. •Manage, report and provide feedback regarding statistical and trend recruitment data, to include but not limited to hired, candidate submission due to pipeline vs UWHires, DEI metrics, timeline of process from posting to hiring. •Program strategic planning activities and other related duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS •Bachelor’s Degree in HR, communication, marketing, business, or other related field. •3 years of recruitment activities to include but not limited to hiring, interviewing, reviewing applicants, developing job posting, position management, etc. •Superior writing and editing skills. •Excellent public presentation skills. •Strong eye for detail and high standards of accuracy. •Experience with web-based conferencing/meeting technologies, particularly Zoom. •High-level adeptness with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access). •Ability to travel to off-site locations as needed and work evenings and occasional weekends. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
