Boston, Massachusetts, Overview The Senior Recruiting & Marketing Specialist ( the Specialist ) is a two-year term position ( with possibility for renewal ) that reports to the Academic Dean of the Friedman School and received addition oversight and guidance from the Friedman School Director of Communications. The position will work closely with the school’s Offices of Student Affairs and Communications and the University Communications and Marketing (UCM) department.   The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University pursues cutting-edge research and education from cell to society, including in molecular nutrition, human metabolism, population studies, clinical trials, nutrition interventions and behavior change, communication, food systems and sustainability, global food insecurity, humanitarian crises, and food economics and policy. What You’ll Do The Specialist design and implement data-informed strategies for graduate student recruitment at the Friedman School. This position will have strong interlocks with the Friedman School’s Admissions and Communications teams, UCM, Friedman School academic leaders and faculty, the Friedman School Ellie Block and Family Career Services Center, and other offices throughout the University as required.   Responsibilities include: Act as the primary liaison to the UCM marketing strategy team Leverage UCM expertise and resources to develop data-driven marketing strategies to increase applications and meet enrollment goals Implement a communications plan that support these strategies Participate in all phases of the student recruitment continuum including: Facilitating the development of recruitment goals and milestones Collecting and interpreting data to inform new recruitment strategies Monitoring trends in recruitment data Organizing and implementing strategies to strengthen awareness of the Friedman School to build relationships with organizations outside the Friedman School to develop a pipeline of prospective students Maintaining records, assessing recruitment strategies, and creating reports Identify and implement opportunities to increase student body diversity, equity, and inclusion at the Friedman School What We’re Looking For Basic Requirements: Knowledge and experience typically acquired through a completion of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 5 + years’ relevant work experience Strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to work independently and contribute as a team member of, develop relationships with wide variety of internal and external constituencies, provide high-level of customer service, handle confidential information, balance need to be both strategic and detail-oriented, and work in fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal, listening, and oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills Ability to engage with a variety of constituents (prospective and current students, alumni, faculty, agencies, and vendors, etc.) from many different cultural backgrounds Excellent organizational skills: ability to execute multiple objectives concurrently. Ability to work under and meet tight deadlines is essential Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Technolutions Slate or similar CRM system strongly preferred Graduate degree preferred.
