Nationwide, The Senior Marketing Account Manager’s primary role is to assist with New Business initiatives, lead and oversee the development, training, onboarding and success of their assigned marketing manager(s) and associates. The Senior Marketing Manager will help ensure proper project management processes are followed for all property marketing efforts within a designated geographic area (multi-regional), ensuring that efforts will ultimately meet the client’s goals for their investments. The Senior Marketing Manager will oversee appropriate multi-property advertising, marketing and event opportunities in an effort to maximize property brand exposure at the submarket level based on marketing best practices. Responsibilities associated to business development and revenue generation will be executed. While managing accounts, campaigns, and overseeing marketing success within the assigned regions, the Senior Marketing Manager will also focus on forging long lasting relationships with our clients at all levels that ultimately build on the department KPIs. JOB DESCRIPTION Understands and manages new business pipeline, connects key accounts, and communicates needs accordingly Lead team of assigned marketing associates and marketing manager(s) in a specified territory through mentorship, development, and performance management Further drives the vision of the organization via cross-department collaboration while showcasing the value of the InHouse Marketing Agency internally and externally Contributes to the success of the organization by supporting the Director of Marketing Services through growth and profitability initiatives designed for the team and department Assists with rolling out strategic plans of the Marketing Department with client-centric service at the forefront of all communication Provide top-level project management to assigned portfolio, to include engaging internal resources and participating in strategic planning Monitor community marketing initiatives in accordance with the strategic plan; define adjustments needed to maximize traffic and closing performance (this level of support would apply to the entire portfolio, with specific attention to and prioritization of activities for key assets as directed) Develop and maintain relationships with National Client Marketing teams, Regional Marketing Teams, Operations, development associates, and clients at all levels Act as main point of contact between properties and the marketing department for streamlined communication and project management Display solution-based problem solving and leading a team in the same manner Assists with carrying out corporate communication executed by Director of Strategic Services as well as internal communication to Marketing Services team Co-leads with marketing of Marketing initiatives Attends new business pitches with marketing needs InHouse can execute Assists with Digital Marketing and Advertising training Proposal Management Leads portfolio migration from vendor management to InHouse model to align with department goals ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Team Management Coach, mentor, and develop marketing managers and marketing associates within the territory to foster growth Forge strong/positive relationships across the organization, with prospects, and of course our clients with a service-first mindset Assess and identify areas of opportunity for improved efficiencies (process, communication, etc), presents solution-oriented concepts, and executes plans accordingly Promotes value initiatives of the department and the InHouse Marketing Services team to all levels of our operators, development groups, and ownership groups Project Management Oversees and manages all project timelines for assigned portfolio, ensuring projects are on-budget and strategy Manage and assign property-level and regional-level requests to Marketing Managers/Marketing Associates, and assists in finding solutions Oversee and assist with the transition process for new assets Work with the strategy team to maintain global knowledge of regional strategy and to understand submarket strategy and execution Lead all branding projects within designated portfolio and work with the Marketing Account Specialists to ensure branding efforts are executed Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure all campaigns and projects are completed on time Proficient use of project management tools to ensure all projects are executed efficiently and accurately Work with the digital team for all online marketing needs for the properties in your region, to include social media, PPC and SEO; provide recommendations regarding content management and optimization of property websites, online listings, Craigslist, ILS’ and other online channels Work with the social media manager for all social media marketing needs for the properties in your region; provide recommendations regarding social engagement, reputation management and promotional efforts Monitor reputation for the properties in your region by reviewing and ensuring properties are responding in accordance with Alliance policy Work with creative team and/or external resources for all graphic design, copy and printing needs for the properties in your region; review all collateral material to confirm the project supports the marketing strategy and meets brand standards Hold weekly status meetings with marketing department to stay in front of regional projects and issues Communicate and work with the appropriate operations personnel throughout the review/approval process for all items, and assist with issue resolution as needed Data/Metrics Create development plans and track training progress and opportunities of assigned portfolio and teams associated to the role Research and pursue New Business opportunities as well as portfolio growth Showcases success by achieving satisfactory department KPIs regarding revenue generation, customer experience, quality, and productivity Provide insight into historical time quotes on projects Report on project requests, revision history and average project timelines Present campaign performance data to clients Grow InHouse pipeline and help plan execution General Take initiative to innovate and problem solve with or without direct supervision and/or direction Quickly identifies and expeditiously resolves campaign performance issues and overarching account escalations Assists with facilitating team trainings and service improvement initiatives upon request Maintain knowledge of team members needed to accomplish tasks and an overall understanding of how long a project should reasonably take, as well as what steps are needed to expedite timelines Possess a broad understanding of marketing projects ranging from branding work, campaign development, production projects and digital initiatives to reporting and strategy Demonstrate excellent communication skills, organizational style and attention to detail Possess ability to multi-task, act under pressure, and work with multiple internal and external team members across several disciplines and locations Requirements 10+ years of account management experience in an agency or in-house marketing setting Experience working with project management software; Workamajig preferred Proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to work independently, and manage/communicate with teams in order to produce work on time and on budget Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and time-manage workload Flexibility for travel (up to 50%)
