What you’ll be doing… Verizon’s Digital Marketing Center of Excellence is hiring a Search Engine Marketing Manager to lead paid search testing within their Agile Real Time Marketing (RTM) group. You will work with the RTM team members across the lines of business to lead key testing efforts within SEM, partnering closely with other leaders within the digital marketing center of excellence. You should bring a fresh perspective on how the SEM operation could evolve from innovations stemming from testing efforts. You will build relationships with external search partners, including emerging search partners and optimization technologies. We expect you to come with a strong understanding of the evolution of search and the benefits of thinking about SEO and SEM holistically. Act as the POC for SEM within Agile Real Time Marketing, which is responsible for driving e?ciencies by delivering relevant and timely content and experiences for search, orchestrated across all devices. Campaign test ideation across landing pages, audiences, keyword categories, bid strategies, etc. Manage the testing process from ideation to implementation and reporting across all key stakeholders within multiple departments. Ensure deadlines and milestones are achieved to develop and launch tests. Act as the bridge between Paid Search and Real Time Marketing teams, ensuring that projects remain on target and support is provided where needed. Attend daily meetings across all lines of business to sync with members of Real Time Marketing. Scale successful tests to support the SEM enterprise performance. Make recommendations and driving decision making with respect to any changes to the existing BAU strategy from test outcomes. Oversee the execution and resources associated with SEM campaign testing. Provide consistent communication on test progress and synthesize and capture results in collaboration with Real Time Marketing teams. Where you’ll be working: In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager. What we’re looking for… You’ll need to have: Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant work experience. Willingness to travel. Marketer/agency/consultative services experience in SEM. Experience leading testing efforts including landing pages, audiences, new Betas, etc. Knowledge of primary buying platforms and formats (Google Ads, Search Ads 360, Skai/Kenshoo, Microsoft / Bing, PLAs, Shopping engines). Even better if you have one or more of the following: A degree. Eight or more years of relevant work experience. Ability to manage projects across multiple stakeholders. Exceptional communication skills. Experience in search analysis and reporting. Data visualization experience. Fluency in data-driven targeting and reach strategy.
