Itasca, IL, Overview:
The American Supply Association is currently seeking a marketing specialist to drive the association’s effort to build industry brand awareness and attract career seekers to the plumbing, heating, cooling, pipe valve and fittings industry (PHCP/PVF). This individual will manage the association’s recruitment marketing operations, while working closely with a third-party advertising agency to identify and implement strategies to positively position the PHCP/PVF industry as a viable place for career opportunities. They will ensure that the association’s members are connected to potential job seekers through a variety of channels including the ASA Careers Portal. In addition, this individual will work with association leaders, volunteers, and other key stakeholders in developing and delivering career recruitment content, programs, and member-facing marketing to attract talent.
 
Specific Responsibilities:

Develop a robust marketing and communication strategy to expand awareness of the career opportunities within the PHCP/PVF industry while working closely with a third-party advertising agency and volunteer committees.
Work closely with the ASA Marketing Manager to develop and implement impactful communications that engage ASA members to utilize and support association recruitment tools; and curate high- value recruitment resources to support member efforts to attract and retain top talent.
Develop programs and services that will support ASA members in their recruitment efforts.
Expand efforts to engage ASA members in the recruitment process as well as utilizing the developed tools to support these efforts.
Track and monitor the usage of the ASA Careers Portal and the Recruiter Toolbox.
Develop and deploy SEO strategies to improve the reach of the ASA Careers Portal.
Conduct research and gain feedback on ASA member recruitment pain-points, needs, industry trends, and best practices to steer the association’s recruitment marketing efforts in the right direction.
Research and promote talent/recruitment best practices from other industries and share with ASA members as a guide to help their companies improve.

 
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or equivalent experience.
3 plus years of demonstrated experience in creating recruitment efforts.
Strong understanding of various marketing channels including social media.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite.
Innovative and energetic self-starter; fast learner with the ability to multi-task.
Attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and high degree of accuracy in task completion.
Able to work independently with minimal direction.
Professional and friendly manner while supporting ASA team members and the membership at large.
First-rate grammar and writing skills.
Association experience a plus.
