Bloomington, Indiana,, Department INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS (UA-INTP-IUBLA) Job Summary The Marketing Assistant assists the marketing and communications team in the Office of International Services with various marketing and communications projects. The primary and first responsibility of the position will be to assist the office in transitioning the main website. This will involve learning our content management system, WCMS, moving content from one version of WCMS to the new version, paying close attention to detail to ensure content is moved without error, and having a keen eye for web layout. After the initial project is complete, this position will assist in the implementation of integrated marketing and communications strategies through a mix of marketing and communications functions, such as print and digital graphic design, copywriting, copyediting, etc. This position will provide on-site marketing support to various events as assigned. Required Qualifications Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University. Ability to quickly learn new software systems. Ability to work in at least one (more than one preferred) of the following marketing and communications functions: graphic design (with prior knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign or similar programs), copywriting, marketing data analytics, or web design. Self-starter; comfortable working in a remote work environment. Preferred Qualifications One year of undergraduate coursework complete.
