Nationwide, Marketing & Student Experience Coordinator-GCCIS 6889BR Golisano College of Computing & Info Sciences GCCIS โ€“ Interactive Games & Media Detailed Job Description The Marketing and Student Engagement Coordinator for the School of Interactive Games and Media plays a critical role in the success of students in Game Design & Development and New Media Interactive Development programs. Reporting to the Manager of Administrative and Student Services, this position oversees the external communications for the school through social media, newsletters, and other marketing materials. The Coordinator also manages all prospective student programs and coordinates the student ambassador program by hiring, training, and supervising a group of students who meet with prospective students and families. The coordinator also chairs the IGM Student Success Task Force and coordinates the annual student showcase. Department/College Description The College: Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences (GCCIS) at RIT is one of the most comprehensive computing colleges in the nation. The college is housed in modern facilities in Rochester, NY, that include leading programs in computer science, game design and cybersecurity. As home to the countrys first undergraduate programs in software engineering and information technology, as well as the recently opened Global Cybersecurity Institute, Golisano College has long been a leader in computing education and research. The Department: The School of Interactive Games and Media (IGM) has over 30 full-time faculty and is committed to excellence in teaching and research. IGM offers undergraduate Bachelor of Science degrees in Game Design and Development, New Media Interactive Development, a Master of Science in Game Design and Development, and an accelerated BS/MS in Game Design and Development. IGM serves nearly 900 undergraduate students (including mandatory co-op experience) and about 60 graduate students. IGM is currently ranked in the top 10 of the Princeton Review, U.S. News & World Report, and the Animation Career Review for Game Design and Development programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. IGM works closely with RITs MAGIC (Media, Arts, Games, Interaction & Creativity) Center, which is a university-wide collaboration for research and publishing in games and digital media. The MAGIC Center is comprised of both a university research & development center and an independent game publishing studio. Required Minimum Qualifications Education/Experience Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience required. 3 years of related experience required, 5 years preferred Specialized Skills: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment Excellent customer service skills Excellent oral, written and telephone communication skills Ability to quickly master computer applications Detail oriented and efficient Motivated, self-starter Ability to work effectively as part of a team Requires independent judgment in carrying out responsibilities. Experience with MS Office suite (Word, Publisher, Excel). Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite to design marketing assets or willingness to learn Ability to collect data from multiple sources, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
