TU’s University Marketing and Communications division is currently seeking a Marketing Manager for Graduate Enrollment. In support of strategic university enrollment goals, the Marketing Manager works collaboratively across University Marketing and Communications division teams to coordinate the production, execution, and evaluation of targeted marketing materials efficiently and effectively for graduate education at Towson University. Reporting to the Associate Director of Enrollment Marketing, this key member of TU’s University Marketing and Brand Strategy department helps plan, create, and optimize impactful graduate enrollment advertising, promotions, events, and collateral. The Marketing Manager develops deliverables for traditional and digital advertising, including website landing pages, email marketing campaigns, direct mail, brochures and more, helping fuel TU’s graduate enrollment success in more than 80 in-demand degree programs. They work collaboratively with the Office of Graduate Studies and University Admissions to support the strategic enrollment goals for the institution and execute action plans for graduate enrollment growth.
 

Responsibilities and Duties
 

Serve as primary manager and coordinator of graduate enrollment marketing including, but not limited to digital advertising, traditional advertising, social media advertising, email marketing campaigns, collateral marketing pieces, on-campus advertising signage, academic program materials and website landing pages.
Responsible for creating graduate communication flows and journeys and the creation of compelling on-brand marketing materials, especially written content.
Work with fellow teammates within University Marketing and Communications division including creative services and digital strategy, as well as with admissions partners and counselors within academic affairs to establish shared expectations, build consensus and improve workflow.
Invest time in understanding the people behind the work and developing processes that lead to expedited review and approval of project deliverables.
Meet regularly with graduate recruiters and program directors to assess needs and respond to requests.
Support key graduate enrollment events before, during and after with marketing expertise and coordination of on-brand visual signage, promotional items, and event materials. Events include open houses, admitted student events, and other academic experiences for prospective students.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training to expand graduate enrollment marketing knowledge and build better understanding of enrollment trends and marketing opportunities.
Attend conferences and seminars regularly. Follow industry-centric content and stay well versed in current college admissions and adult learner news.

 

Qualifications and Skills
 

Bachelor’s degree and at least 2-3 years of work experience in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.
Clear expertise developing marketing materials that are on-brand.
Excellent communication skills, especially a proven ability to write effectively.
Experience defining goals, deadlines, and strategies for communicating with target audiences.
Proven ability to manage marketing projects from start to finish.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of marketing best practices for both owned and paid media.
Ability to create and edit emails and web pages.
Experience working with a website CMS and building content for online platforms.
Willingness to work collaboratively with many project collaborators.

An interest in growing personally and professionally with a passion for learning new skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Salesforce/CRM knowledge is helpful, but not required.
Experience working in education or marketing for education, particularly graduate education.
Knowledge of paid media platforms and experience working with an advertising agency.
Experience with events and/or planning of events.
