We have an exciting opportunity for a Connectivity Marketing Manager within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business located at Lake Forest, IL .  Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies.  Under general supervision, the scope of this position includes supporting the commercial activities for the Infectious Disease connectivity solutions in both traditional and non-traditional healthcare settings.  There are various connectivity platforms solutions utilized including RALS products, Starlims and NAVICA. This job function has accountability for complying with the applicable elements of the Global Quality Framework and the Corporate Quality Management System (QMS). RESPONSIBILITIES Support marketing strategy for connectivity for US Infectious Disease (ID) team in order to establish strategies and tactics to promote connectivity in each ID target market segment. Engage and support the US field team and ID customers with connectivity Partner with Global Marketing Services and Informatics/Connectivity teams within Abbott to execute commercial activities for NAVICA, RALS, and One Abbott Solution (RALS LiNK and Starlims).   Provide frontline support to US Commercial organization for SME discussions on connectivity of our tests and platforms and value propositions for ARDx connectivity solutions and feature sets. Monitor market landscape and share market updates and new feature requests with US ID Sales team, Informatics/Connectivity teams within Abbott, and Global Marketing Services to ensure continued understanding of the changing marketplace Identify market research needs in order to ensure continued understanding of the changing marketplace.  Knowledgeable of competitors’ offerings in order to define effective competitive positioning to be deployed by commercial team.   Support commercialization of any new solutions or features, as are made available by the Global Marketing Services and Informatics/Connectivity teams Support promotional campaigns for connectivity, including communications vehicles, collateral and sales support materials, and distributor or national account-specific programs, as applicable. Support connectivity solutions or ID test/platform connectivity capabilities at key conferences Help to maintain Abbott World Sales Tool Kit and websites to ensure updated appropriately with Connectivity platform material for the US market. Support the Literature Fulfilment site to ensure it is updated with appropriate customer facing content. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS in Marketing, Business or related field.  Knowledge of medical marketing and healthcare informatics/connectivity, in addition to a strong marketing skills. 5-8 years of informatics/connectivity experience in related fields.  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two to three years’ experience in diagnostic industry. Demonstrated knowledge of the technical components of diagnostics industry, along with healthcare connectivity solutions, for both medical community as well as consumers highly desired.     Experience with Healthcare Information Technology products Knowledge of Mobile based applications and Web based applications Hands on experience with EMR or EHR systems (Electronic Medical Records or Electronic Health Records) Background in Clinical software, clinical applications, or clinical informatics
