St. Louis, Missouri, Scheduled Hours 37.5 Position Summary Washington Universityâ™s Technology & Leadership Center seeks a highly motivated, multi-functional Marketing Automation Specialist. This team member will work primarily at the tactical level to create, execute and optimize campaigns, working collaboratively with staff, as well as key department stakeholders to help achieve business goals. An ideal candidate will have experience in Hubspot, to include campaign management, front-end (theming) and backend (custom modules, integrations) development, site building, and data analysis/reporting expertise. The successful candidate must be an effective communicator who can support multi-faceted strategies, interpret trends, identify hidden insights and intelligence and recommend refinements based on data intelligence. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Optimizes the display of online content, and collaborates with team members to manage emails and landing pages using core technologies. Daily management and upkeep of the marketing automation platform at the operations level, including database management, segmentation, list maintenance, data cleansing, web form capture, integration with CRM, exporting lists, etc. Manages the technical integration of the marketing automation platform with CRM (HubSpot) and any other relevant marketing technology. Creates/modifies clean, well-structured, search engine optimization-friendly documented code. Tracks and analyzes campaign performance and regularly performs tests to improve KPIs (such as deliverability, opt-outs, click-through rates, and conversion rates). Compiles data analysis, and reports on user experience to develop marketing strategies and implement campaigns. Assesses market opportunities and track trends, provide recommendations Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions This position will be a 37.5-hour role from Mondays-Fridays with occasional, but minimal, duties performed outside of the core workday. Some travel may be required. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree. Hubspot coursework/certification. Six plus years of marketing automation experience. Strong knowledge of HubSpot or similar CRM systems. Working knowledge of digital media analytics and data tracking. In-depth understanding of marketing automation/CRM integration best practices and lead database management, working within and maximizing the capabilities of HubSpot marketing automation platform. Working knowledge of digital media analytics and data tracking. Demonstrated experience working with reporting tools, optimization; an aptitude for data analytics and campaign tracking and reporting to inform future decisions. Excellent organizational skills to work efficiently, managing projects with many moving parts; strong desire to improve processes. A strong commitment to being part of a culture driving transformational change with a start-up mindset. Excellent initiative and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications. Required Qualifications Bachelorâ™s degree and three years of related experience or equivalent education/work experience to equal seven years. Grade G12 Salary Range $53,900.00 – $92,200.00 / Annually The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one’s qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
