The Production Assistant provides administrative and project management support for the staff members in the office — from digital strategists and multimedia producers to graphic designers and web developers. As a member of the 25-person Communications & Marketing team at Michigan Engineering, you perform a variety of tasks to support campaigns, projects, storytelling and events. This requires working in collaboration and partnership with almost everyone in the office, but at the same time exercising independent initiative to accomplish tasks. The Production Assistant reports to the Associate Director of Marketing & Production. 50% Support project management, including scheduling, project set-up, coordination and tracking using appropriate tools and procedures. 40% Provide administrative support in the form of calendar management, meeting schedules, note-taking, file organizing and archiving. 5% Review and proofread communications and marketing materials. 5% Explore opportunities for the team to find efficiencies and improvements in the way we use our project management tools. 1+ years of experience helping creative teams coordinate to achieve their goals. 1+ years of experience working with software used to organize teams or data Demonstrated organization, attention to detail and teamwork Can translate instructions and information into accurate updates Excellent interpersonal communication skills A proactive approach to asking questions and offering support Desire to work in a highly collaborative and creative environment on teams that range in size and type of work Experience using the Google Suite: docs, sheets, folders The University of Michigan conducts background checks on all job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background checks.
