MARKETING AND COMMUNCATIONS MANAGER , Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation (DCTI) , to promote the Deshpande Center and its programs via targeted media outreach, public relations, news articles, and social media through digital, video, and print communications. Will design solutions to meet DCTI’s ongoing and evolving communications needs, including website maintenance and content creation for digital, video, print products, and social media. Will also design, plan, implement, promote, and evaluate a variety of events by developing strategic plans and choreographing and managing the tactical and logistical details such as individual event budgets, marketing, collateral, venues, etc. Job Requirements REQUIRED : a bachelor’s degree; at least five years’ experience, preferably in marketing communication or journalism; success planning and implementing communications strategies; strong creative writing, editing, and interviewing skills; ability to learn and write about a range of technology areas and an interest in exploring new topics; experience translating technical content for a non-technical audience and proactively producing informative and lively media; ability to solicit and synthesize input from a variety of sources in order to develop strategically appropriate communications; knowledge of web content strategy and commitment to maintaining web standards and best practices; facility with the tools of social and video media and website management (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite etc.) and willingness to learn new skills and software; ability to juggle simultaneous tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines; attention to detail; ability to work independently and as a team member; and excellent judgment with confidential information.
