Boston, Massachusetts, Overview Head of Marketing & Communications – BNY Mellon Wealth Management BNY Mellon has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Marketing the firm-wide vision, nurture and manage a diverse and talented team while designing the go-to market strategies for: investors (UHNW+); institutional partners (E NextGen and Emerging HNW retail investors. He/she will be responsible for marketing capabilities and thought leadership via demand generation, content marketing, branding, marketing research, public relations, investor relations, distributed marketing/sales enablement, analytics, marketing research, and events (in-person and virtual). Identify programs and initiatives that center on driving premium client experiences and engagement. Utilize advanced data (machine learning/artificial intelligence) and technology to increase existing client share-of-wallet and portfolio to drive new opportunities. The role reports into the National Sales Director with day-to-day interactions with the CEO of Wealth Management. Major duties include but not limited to: Manages and motivates a team of professionals and engages in their roles to provide clarity and opportunities. Collaborating with, and presenting to, the Wealth Management CEO and senior leadership team. Drive operational efficiencies and identify areas to improve and optimize process across all aspects of marketing functions. Oversees, plans and directs all activities that ensure that business objectives are met. Develops, implements, and communicates an overall strategy for the function that aligns to business and corporate objectives. Assumes full accountability for the success of all strategic initiatives. Oversee and direct brand strategy to elevate brand profile and drive awareness and engagement. Establishes a communication process for sharing informative competitor intelligence. Manage a consistent marketing/product development planning process, including sufficient background information on the market and competitive environment. Drive strategic research programs to support unique segments within Wealth Management to utilize insights to inform go-to-market and sales enablement. Oversee and manage all aspects of corporate communications, internal communications and support executive communication program. Guides collateral, pitch books, sales enablement content development. Maintains a thorough knowledge and awareness of legal requirements, regulatory environment legislative changes, and marketing trends in the industry to determine the direction for new content, enhancements or experiences. Drives optimization and efficiencies across marketing technology and sales enablement platforms. Oversees the financial and staff resources, including capital and expense budgets that provide the resources available to execute objectives, including ROI, metrics and financial implications. Oversee and collaborate on lifetime value of clients. Monthly and quarterly reporting and plan optimization. Digital strategy oversight and direction on business prioritizations. Collaborates across BNY Mellon corporate entities including Pershing, Investment Management, Digital Assets, Asset Servicing and more. Qualifications: Candidates should have 15 or more years of marketing experience preferably in Wealth Management and financial services industry and a demonstrated track record of interfacing successfully with senior leaders. Knowledge of business strategy development required to evaluate strategic implications of a marketing plan/product launch. Analytical skills are a plus! Knowledge of advertising, sales promotion, media, design /graphics and/or market research usually acquired through formal education and previous experience. Strong presentation and leadership skills required. Experience with gathering, analyzing and synthesizing both quantitative and qualitative data and connecting data to strategic solutions is preferred. Excellent communication oral and written, influencing and partnering skills are required as well.
