Job Summary :
The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for all of the communications and marketing at Cambridge Friends School. The Director works closely with the Head of School, the Director of Enrollment Management, and The Director of Development to create and implement strategies to support the marketing of the school to prospective families and communications with current families and alums. The Director serves on the School’s Administrative Team. The position is a full-time, twelve- month position with a competitive salary and benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities :
Marketing: o Create and execute the School’s New Student Marketing Campaign working with the Head of School and Admissions Director o Produce collateral for school advertising (print ads, subway posters, and wraps) o Produce informational material supporting admissions o Work with Head of School to strengthen the School’s brand and messaging o Oversee the curation of the School’s style guide
Manage Website and connected platforms (School Docs) o Update text and photos o Set up and manage event, student, and program registration and payment platforms o Solicit information from faculty and staff for website and other use
Social Media o Keep the School’s social media accounts updated and relevant
Weekly All-School Email o Gather data from School Calendar, faculty, and staff for creation of weekly family newsletter o Create and distribute
Connections o Assemble, produce, and distribute annual school magazine
Support Head of School communications with families by producing push pages
Serve as spokesperson for the School with regard to all media
Track student/family media exceptions
Create video to support Development and other areas of the school
Bachelor’s Degree 3 or more years experience in an independent school or other non-profit communications office Superior oral and written communication skills Ability to navigate and manage complex website and other school platforms Sophisticated understanding of power of social media Ability to prioritize and organize projects and work independently
Ability to collaborate and guide parent and board volunteers Self-motivated, collaborative, and willing to work beyond traditional office hours including evenings and weekends when necessary
