Louisville, Kentucky, Position Objective: The Marketing Director will be responsible for planning and directing the efforts of the marketing function, leading/supporting strategy development, collaborating/guiding the Company’s product development process, developing new business opportunities, and creating strategies to strengthen market share and customer value.   Key Accountabilities: •    Develop marketing plan and strategies to support key initiatives in various market segments and geographies including new product launches, product enhancements, and competitive actions for Commercial & Residential. •    Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the company’s business activities. •    Drive market-based new product development: understanding segment trends and drivers, VOC, product road maps, business plan, defining key technical requirements that meet the market needs, working with R&D to develop products which will meet the market needs at the right cost and timing, working with product engineers to design for manufacturability, preparing launch kits and collateral, training field resources and ensuring smooth launches. •    Ensure consistent brand and messaging across the Americas. •    Build brand awareness and positioning across all channels. •    Understand competition and drive the organization to beat them in Commercial & Residential. •    Plan and execute marketing campaigns across all markets within Commercial & Residential. •    Research and report on market opportunities and threats. •    Establish pricing strategies to build and protect a leadership position in market share while enhancing profit margins and developing marketing tools for successful product introductions. •    Work closely with outside service providers such as advertising agencies and others to develop strong understanding of market and category dynamics and communicate key insights to the organization. •    Work with a variety of teams, including senior leadership, to analyze communications needs and  develop strategies to deliver results. •    Work with Sales to develop pricing strategies to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction. •    Ensure consistency of messaging across all marketing communications materials. •    Responsible for producing valuable content for the company’s online presence, editorial design and organizing the company’s publications •    Organize company conferences, trade shows, and major customer events. •    Able to serve as an equal member of the AAF Flanders management team and work/communicate effectively across division lines throughout the organization. •    Supervise the marketing department and provide guidance and feedback. •    Oversee all areas of marketing including, but not limited to, marketing operations, digital marketing, marketing research & analytics, marketing communications and design, and sales enablement. •    Attract, train, motivate, and develop talent within the marketing function. •    Control budgets and allocate resources amongst projects. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. Master’s Degree such as an MBA or related highly desirable; 8+ years’ executive marketing experience including vertical marketing structures; Prefer strong background in go-to market strategy and digital deployment; Proven leadership, strong influencing skills with a track record of change management success; Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals; Ability to work with diverse people of different backgrounds and geographies; Demonstrated project management skills with ability to manage budget and resources; Strong comfort and proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) applications, internet search engines, proprietary databases and website management; Visionary, strategic leader, able to understand the big picture of AAF Flanders direction; Able to persuade others, be prescriptive and/or flexible when appropriate; Cultivate strong relationships and reputation in all areas of the company globally and with distribution and customers; Able to look at AAF Flanders from the outside-in, customer and market place perspective; Ability to think and lead strategically. Ability to plan marketing strategies through the understanding of market and financial trends and customer requirements; Demonstrated leadership skills and experience building high performing teams, be known as a team player; Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate across functions and cultures with appropriate sensitivity; Ability to influence people in a matrix environment; Ability to convert strategy to action; Excellent analytical skills and business acumen to track need/value of initiatives.
