Raleigh, North Carolina, Ravenscroft School is an all gender independent day school in Raleigh, NC, with approximately 1,205 students enrolled in grades preschool through 12th grade.

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer

Expertise in website content management, social media and compelling photographic and video storytelling are a must. 
Candidates will be asked to complete a project and provide samples of work. 
Essential Responsibilities — Telling the Ravenscroft Story
Event Coverage and Content Contributor
Serve as the school’s primary photographer and videographer for coverage of school/campus events and activities — daytime, evening and occasional weekends. Collaborate with faculty and staff across campus to capture special moments and innovative lessons. Support the management and maintenance of the school’s digital photo/video archives, as well as specific photography requests, as needed — in particular, working with the Director of Publications for the photography and video needs for Ravenscroft stories, online magazine and assets. Manage and facilitate professional photoshoots, video shoots and more as needed. 
Website Management and Online Presences
Manage, maintain and update content on Ravenscroft.org and Magazine.Ravenscroft.org, working cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure a content-rich and dynamic web presence and collaborating with fellow department members. 
Manage and monitor website analytics, search engine rankings, and engagement metrics. Report insights regularly and keep the Ravenscroft marketing dashboard current and relevant.
Monitor online review sites for reviews and content updates. Collaborate closely with Ravenscroft’s Chief Marketing Officer on advertising strategies including digital advertising.
Manage and maintain our Parent Portal and New Family Portal, working closely with colleagues to ensure all information is kept current.
Manage, review and approve the use of school-affiliated social media accounts. Stay current with trends and campaigns. Monitor sentiment and appropriate use and address any issues, as needed bringing them to the attention of the Chief Marketing Officer. 
Social Media Marketing
Develop and manage social media marketing strategies and tactics, including producing content for @RavenscroftNC accounts. Ensure a balanced approach to story sharing and content representative of the school’s mission and brand. 
Collaborating across the institution, create and maintain a social media calendar including social media support for events sponsored by multiple divisions, departments and parent groups (i.e., Parents’ Association, RAC, Fine Arts Association, PSDI, GPA). 
Assist others with social media strategies as needed. 
Digital Communications
Manage the distribution of school digital communications and maintain a shared communications calendar. Assist with content submissions, including video and photography, soliciting and editing content provided by other teams, and content development for the Ravenscroft Weekly. Communications include: 

Daily postings on social media (photos, videos, short stories)
Ravenscroft Weekly
Ravenscroft Magazine 
Monthly newsletters from various departments and divisions across campus
Communications as needed by various departments and divisions across campus
Qualifications

Superior writing and editing skills across a range of digital and print platforms, knowledge of AP Style is a plus.
Experience managing social media content in a business/professional role, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr and blogs.
Content management systems: experience with Finalsite, Squarespace, WordPress or similar website content management systems.
Familiarity with SEO and Google Analytics is preferred.
Knowledge of photography, video creation and digital editing software.
Bachelor’s degree required; English, communications, marketing, journalism or related major preferred.
