Digital Marketing Manager | ASH


Washington, DC, The Digital Marketing Manager oversees and supports the execution of multiple marketing campaigns under the leadership of the Senior Manager, Marketing. This position is responsible for working closely with subject matter experts to gain a deep understanding of ASH’s target audiences and deliver integrated, targeted campaigns in line with the marketing strategy set forth by the Communications Department. In this role, the Digital Marketing Manager helps to lead design, development, and execution of marketing assets for print and digital delivery and oversees campaign performance across digital platforms. This position also provides strategic oversight of the Society’s social media strategy. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties that occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job)

Manage multiple campaigns and ensure campaign content is aligned with target audience’s journey and is optimized for delivery through multiple channels (social media, email marketing, print/digital advertisement, and website).
Develop marketing assets for lead nurturing campaigns (FAQs, testimonials, case studies, videos, etc.) by coordinating deliverables with vendors and managing production for multiple projects and deadlines. 
Serve as the staff liaison between the marketing team and other teams within the organization; represents the department at cross-departmental meetings. 
Schedule and coordinate internal meetings, and effectively communicates to Senior Manager, Marketing and/or appropriate communications staff on campaign needs, audience overlaps, and potential obstacles to execution.
Provide frequent updates on campaign performance to the Senior Manager, Marketing, and other members of the Communications Department.
Lead the development and distribution of print and digital promotional materials for specific events; ensure s that design and production requirements are met.
Lead the development of annual meeting marketing collateral, including the development of on-site signage, promotional slides, and ads.
Oversee the development and management of social media efforts to cultivate and nurture relationships with key audiences, including paid digital advertising campaigns and organic posts aimed at marketing both ASH and the ASH Research Collaborative’s products, meetings, and other initiatives. 
Advise and serve as a resource to staff who manage ASH social media channels. 
Supervise the work of the Inbound Marketing Specialist, Communications Coordinator, and Digital Marketing Coordinator. Reports to Senior Manager, Marketing.
In partnership with the Senior Manager of Marketing and the Communications Manager, help to oversee the PR/Digital Marketing consulting firm; implement areas of strategic focus; monitor expenses in relation to budget, and participate in meetings to plan strategy, etc.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field and a minimum of five years of work experience in marketing required; experience with a professional medical society or nonprofit organization strongly preferred.
The ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize issues.
Customer-oriented, excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is a must.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to capture, interpret, and present a variety of performance and engagement metrics.
Ability to work in a team-environment.
Knowledge of email marketing, SEO, inbound/content marketing, website management and digital advertising.
Experience working with tight, frequently changing deadlines.
Self-motivated with experience managing multiple projects.
Understanding of social media networks and their use within multi-audience communications.
