The Office of Student Activities is searching for a Coordinator specializing in marketing strategy and outreach programming. The Coordinator of Campus Programming, Marketing and Outreach is part of a team charged with developing programs and services designed to facilitate student involvement and enhance the overall student experience through campus programs and services. The Coordinator is responsible for strategic marketing efforts to advance the work of this team. The coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of Student Activities outreach events and collaborative programming. This position includes supervising an undergraduate marketing team and a Graduate Assistant.
 

Responsibilities and Duties
 
Responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of department marketing strategy. Utilizing the Graduate Assistant and undergraduate student team, responsible for the creation of department marketing and outreach materials. Utilizing the Graduate Assistant and undergraduate student team, coordinate content and management of department social media accounts. Support traditional, signature programs for the Office of Student Activities to include, but not limited to, Labor Stay Weekend, Family Weekend, TU Holiday, and finals De-Stress event. Support the Assistant Director of Campus Programming with implementing and analyzing assessments and evaluations of Student Activities programs, services, and marketing efforts. Partnering with Athletics, coordinate and implement athletic fan experience support programs. Responsible for supporting department and collaborative programming that meets diverse interests and needs. Serve as a Campus Life expert of social media marketing. Serve on University and Divisional committees. Other duties as assigned to support the work of the Office of Student Activities, Campus Life, and the Division of Student Affairs. Frequent evening and weekend hours required.
 

Qualifications and Skills
 
Required:

Bachelor’s Degree
One year of experience
Experience with marketing strategy and development
Experience with the design of both print and digital effective marketing materials
Ability to work within and across diverse populations
Ability to work with students, faculty, administrators, alumni, and community partners

 
Preferred:

Master’s Degree in marketing, communication, higher education, or other closely related field
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Experience with program and marketing strategy assessment
Experience with event planning and implementation
Commitment to social justice, diversity, and inclusion
Knowledge of student development with experience leading or advising a student team / organization
Experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

 
Salary and Benefits  
$54,000 annually and full University benefits that include 22 days of annual leave, up to 14 holidays, personal and sick days; excellent health, life, and retirement plans; and tuition remission.
