Community Relations and Marketing Specialist | Busey


Creve Coeur, Missouri, This individual is familiar with a variety of the organization’s concepts, practices and procedures and manages the initiatives, resources and tools needed to support community partnerships and volunteerism, including charitable efforts, sponsorships and event management, volunteer opportunities, campaigns and communications as well as overall marketing support. In addition, this individual is responsible for ensuring all business development, marketing and communications programs and resources support the design and integrity of the Busey corporate brand and culture. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Execute sponsorship partnerships from charity outreach to event wrap-up throughout Busey’s footprint. Supports internal volunteerism efforts through campaigns, communication and department goals. Orchestrate community and charitable event participation. Support and execute procedures for charitable giving efforts, event management, tracking and reporting to ensure a consistent experience. Ensure community partnerships are equipped with Busey’s approved brand resources including ad or program booklet support, logo and identity marks, leadership presentations and talking points, press release support and approvals. Fully leverage charitable sponsorships through event tickets and seating, branding and COI opportunities. Collaborate with community leaders to ensure the company’s visibility within communities Busey supports. Support and facilitate communications, both internal and external, e.g., press releases; COI, prospecting and business development communication info and resources; memos, sales pieces, webpage and other copy as needed in the appropriate tone. Maintain design and integrity of corporate brand and culture. Function as troubleshooter and resource link across the organization. Additional duties and projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Ability and Knowledge: * Strong oral and written communication skills * Highly organized and able to meet competing deadlines and manage budgets * Collaborative and positive attitude, supportive of a team dynamic * Take independent action within established fields and develop new procedures or approaches to problems as needed * Analyze and solve problems based on a wide knowledge of many factors where application of advanced or technical concepts is required * Maintain mental concentration and visual attention for variable lengths of time * Perform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressures EDUCATION AND TRAINING Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing or related field is preferred. Requires 3 or more years progressively responsible, multi-faceted sales and marketing experience. Requires 1 or more years of management and banking experience. Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office.
