knoxville, Tennessee, University of Tennessee, Knoxville Teaching & Learning Innovation Communications & Marketing Specialist Position Overview: Teaching and Learning Innovation (TLI; teaching.utk.edu), a unit of the Division of Faculty Affairs, in the Office of the Provost, seeks qualified applicants for the position of Communications and Marketing Specialist. The person in this role will serve as TLI’s in-house expert to lead the unit’s marketing and communications efforts. The primary responsibilities of the person in this position will include, maintaining TLI’s websites (teaching.utk.edu and experiencelearning.utk.edu) with up-to-date information, serving as the primary author of TLI’s monthly e-newsletter, Faculty VOLume, and ensuring that the unit’s listserv remains up to date and continues to grow over time. The person in this position will also organize, illustrate, and support the process of developing attractive faculty development resources with all TLI staff that abide by university marketing and communications expectations, as well as lead the unit’s Annual Report creation each year. This person will also be responsible for leading TLI’s strategy related to all marketing and communications needs, including gathering data such as event attendance and unique user numbers, conducting web- based research to improve TLI’s strategy related to marketing and communications, and participating in professional development experiences that help TLI grow and sustain a modern and effective approach to marketing and communications. Lastly, this person will support the unit to expand its library of resources to include video, social media, and other multimedia approaches on a regular basis, as well as other duties related to the implementation, growth, and expansion of TLI’s marketing and communications strategies. Expected salary for this position will not exceed $40,000.00, and could vary dependent upon experience and earned level of education.
