West Palm Beach, Florida, This position is responsible for leading all tourism marketing strategies for a large destination marketing organization: Discover The Palm Beaches (Palm Beach County, FL). The role includes oversight of all traditional marketing, digital marketing, content development, event marketing and public relations. This position reports to the CEO. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all destination brand strategy, including positioning, brand architecture and brand identity.
Develops the strategic direction of the annual marketing plan.
Leads all digital marketing, including paid, programmatic, social, website, search and content.
Leads all public relations and communications for both domestic and international efforts.
Leads all creative development, including campaign production and content production.
Leads all content planning, including blogs, emails and organic social.
Oversees three external contracted agencies: Creative, Digital and PR. Leads the scope of work for each and serves as the main point of contact for each.
Analyzes and reviews current research trends and consumer insights to inform and guide marketing strategies.
Oversees all website activity, architecture, and functionality.
Leads all CRM strategy and execution.
Reviews and monitors competitive actions to protect and enhance market share.
Leads strategic partnerships and brand partnerships with many community organizations. Leads collaboration efforts between Discover the Palm Beaches and three other TDC agencies.
Develops, recommends, and monitors annual marketing / advertising budget. Responsible for media planning and advertising budget reconciliation.
Serves as the public face of Discover the Palm Beaches in many public events, interviews, news broadcasts, public meetings, and board meetings.
Leads all brand activations, trade shows, and public events that feature The Palm Beaches branding.
Leads all Groups & Meetings marketing efforts. Leads all Leisure Sales marketing efforts.
Leads a large marketing team. Responsible for inspiring all team members with a clear vision of success. Responsible for hiring and developing a high performing team.
Oversees regional and city-specific marketing efforts. Serves as the liaison between city government and Discover the Palm Beaches.
Develops and nurtures strong business relationships with all hoteliers in Palm Beach County.
This position supervises a marketing team of 15, including three directors: Brand Marketing, Public Relations, and Digital Marketing.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
Four-year degree from an accredited academic institution MBA preferred.
10 years of marketing leadership experience required, with a minimum of four years’ experience in tourism marketing.
A proven track record of success in tourism marketing is preferred.
