Our location in Columbus or Cincinnati, OH, currently has an opportunity for an Associate Shopper Marketing Manager.  This individual will manage total shopper budget and will execute retail media, search, national sweepstakes, sampling and display initiatives. Additionally, the Associate Shopper Marketing Manager will be responsible to collect and analyze Shopper Promotional Effectiveness metrics and measure effectiveness based on short term learnings. This individual will be responsible to maintain a repository of all learnings to establish best practice that can be shared with Retail, Brand and other interested parties. The Associate Shopper Marketing Manager will be responsible for integrating Shopper Marketing into Retailer strategies, Brand initiatives and planning processes, and will lead all Shopper Creative and Joint Business Planning for Pedialyte. This individual will collaborate closely with Field Shopper Marketing Managers, Brand Marketing teams, Sales counterparts, Shopper Insights teams, and agencies to ensure strategic alignment between our consumers, shoppers, customers, and Abbott Brand’s objectives. WHAT YOU’LL DO Brand Management : ·        Be the voice of the Shopper in all Brand meetings.   ·        Responsible for representing the shopper, retailer strategy and retail marketing concepts to the brand teams. Bring perspective that will help shape the brands initiatives and go to market strategies. ·        Responsible for integrating Shopper into all brand planning sessions, innovation/ideation meetings and Medical, Legal and Regulatory reviews. ·        Responsible for integrating the Shopper agency and Brand agency at the point of briefing, shopper campaign / messaging recommendation and activation. ·        Go-to person for the Brand for any/all Shopper Marketing requests or questions. Shopper Management: ·        Collaborate with Field Shopper Marketing Managers in the development and alignment of Brand strategies/objectives to identify key business opportunities and shopper activation plans. ·        Ensure plans are integrated into annual Brand planning as well as Retail Joint Business Planning. ·        Become expert on Retail Media and oversee Retail Search activations with agency search partner. ·        Stay abreast of new vendor capabilities and provide overview and recommendation on strategic opportunities. ·        Track competitive shopper marketing activity. ·        Serve as Pedialyte Shopper Marketing lead on creative development leveraging the Shopper Marketing Agency, Brand, Insights and Customer objectives to produce shopper specific communication strategies. ·        Maintain repository of Shopper Promotional Effectiveness. ·        Regularly track, assess and analyze effectiveness and ROI of major coupon plans/media (consisting of but not limited to SmartCommerce, Ibotta, Cartwheel, Kroger Loyalty and CVS loyalty). Agency and Shopper Budget Provide weekly update on Shopper budget and agency hours for all shopper programs. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING Required High school diploma or GED required Preferred ·        Bachelor’s Degree required with 2-5 years of CPG marketing experience on either client or agency side ·        Previous experience in Shopper Marketing and/or using shopper data and insights ·        Experience working with third-party vendors and creative agencies ·        Knowledge of Brand Management, Sales and Retail Marketing ·        Demonstrates leadership and communication skills ·        Ability to present and influence others, including Abbott and Customer leaders ·        An understanding of Consumer/Shopper, using analytical skills and insights ·        Strong organization and project management skills ·        Budget ownership WHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
