Β  Job Overview Under general supervision from a designated administrator, assist with the administration and direction of a multifunctional department or center. Essential Functions AssistΒ  with development,Β implementation and administrationΒ ofΒ goalsΒ toΒ achieve strategic objectives; assume management responsibility for a wide range of projects/tasks associated with primary business operations and/or corporate relations that have significant impact within the business function.Β  DevelopΒ internal policies,Β procedures, controls, and manageΒ processesΒ to increase internal business and/or external corporate partnerships and advance service levels; responsible for policy execution and results that enrich theΒ department/center,Β theΒ campus and the university;Β consultsΒ withΒ DirectorΒ on major policy changes affecting other departments.Β  MayΒ be responsibleΒ forΒ coordinatingΒ aΒ function or program(s)Β withΒ significantΒ impactΒ onΒ external relations. May beΒ responsibleΒ forΒ collaboratingΒ efforts with administrative andΒ academic units (i.e., Public Relations, Academic Colleges, Foundation, etc.) to enhance business/community partnerships.Β  Assist withΒ preparationΒ of annual unit operatingΒ budgetΒ recommendations;Β develop, implement and monitor assigned budgets; limited signature authority for purchases and payroll. PrepareΒ reports,Β disseminate/interpretΒ information, provideΒ advice,Β writeΒ proposals,Β deliver presentations,Β constructΒ contractualΒ agreements, and ensure that all programsΒ Β  andΒ servicesΒ comply with university, state and federal regulations. CommunicateΒ and assist students,Β parents,Β corporateΒ  partnersΒ resolveΒ questionsΒ andΒ complex issues; represent the university internally and externally. Assist with administrative leadership and supervision toΒ exempt andΒ non-exemptΒ staff;Β hire,Β orient, train, mentorΒ and evaluate assignedΒ staff; monitor and coordinateΒ staffΒ developmentΒ andΒ training programs. Serve on various university, division and departmental committees and may represent the department at various state and national associations; may function for the Director or Associate Director in his/her absence, as required. Perform related duties based on departmental need. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree with five(5) years experience; -OR-Associate’s degree with seven (7) years experience; -OR-nine (9) years experience. Degreemust be in a related field; experience must be related. Experience also requires at least three (3) years supervision.
