Reporting to the Associate Director of Online Program Marketing and Admissions, the Assistant Director, Digital Marketing will be responsible for executing and managing digital marketing campaigns, including campaign optimization, analysis, and reporting; writing, creating, and publishing marketing content across multiple digital platforms, including web, email, social media, and multimedia channels; managing digital platforms such as the Online Program websites and social media channels; and developing and maintaining metrics to measure success. The Assistant Director will also be responsible for managing projects and relationships with external agencies and vendors and conducting market and competitive research with the goal of driving traffic, registrations, and enrollment for Stern’s non-credit and credit-bearing online programs. The Assistant Director will work closely with other units in support of their work with online programs. Responsibilities The selected candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree (a Master’s Degree in related field or MBA is preferred) and 3+ years of relevant professional-level experience, including digital marketing experience. Experience in a marketing capacity at an academic, e-commerce, technology, or startup environment is preferred. Agency experience is also a plus. The selected candidate must possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing, editing, and proofing content. Experience creating/coding custom HTML templates, managing email campaigns and maintaining list health. Strong project planning and editorial judgment. Knowledge of digital marketing and experience using multiple forms of new media and technologies. Knowledge of online marketing and recruitment processes, including web content management systems. Knowledge of digital marketing reporting and diagnostic tools, including Google Analytics, Google AdWords, etc. and an understanding of SEO strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and a strong understanding of Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Knowledge of social platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Ability to handle situations independently within the scope of the position.
